No interior lights

Hi everyone hoping to get a little help because wiring is not my thing, I have a 84 foxbody and no interior lights work when any doors are open or when the dimmer switch is turned. So far I check the fuse and its fine, I have power to the headlight switch and power to the all the door jam switches,I tested the map light/dome and middle dome light for power and nothing. Where to go from there? I honestly dont care about the lights coming on when the headlight switch is turned or the hatch but drivers and pass side doors opened would be nice. Thank you

You said you do have power to the jamb switches but not at the light fixtures sounds like a disconnected or cut wire, Did you test the ground side of the light sockets to see if they are grounded. Wiring issues are never easy and many times you have to follow the issue from the last known good source. I thought in the 4 eyed cars the map light was the little one that turns on when it was released and not on the jamb switch. Do you have the factory service manual yet as that would have the wiring diagram?

Grounding in the bulb socket is a must. Remove the cover and bulb. Use a mild wire brush and clean the contacts. Reinstall the bulb and see if it works. The screws that attach the light to the ceiling are also the ground for the socket. You may have to remove them and clean as well. I’d also check the wire going to the contact.
