Hello Everyone,

I am new to this site, but not new to Fox Bodies or the Mustang game. I currently own 5 Mustangs.

1965 Coupe (Restomod)
1989 LX 5.0
2003 380R Roush
2003 SVT Cobra Coupe
2003 SVT Cobra Convertible

I purchased my first Fox Body in 1991. It was a 1989 GT. It was Cabernet Red with the Titanium bottom. It also had the Sand Beige interior. I loved that car.. According to the Marti Report, it was 1 of 44 cars in that color combination. I did not know that until after I got rid of it. Kick myself....

I traded it in for my 2003 380R in Nov of 2002. I almost immediately regretted that decision. So, I spent many years looking for another one. Problem is so many people rag these Fox Bodies out. Interiors looks like crap. Engine has the accessories removed. People actually convert the EFI to Carb (WTF?) and the list goes on.

Finally in Nov of 2023 (almost 21 years to the day) I went to Phoenix for Thanksgiving. While there I found a Fox Body for sale. It was a 1989 LX in Medium Shadow Blue. It only had 44K miles on it. It had gray tweed interior and it was a 5 speed car with the 5.0. It was practically original (had SVE Saleen replica wheels on it). The car was listed for a little more than I wanted to pay, but I felt this car was the one. Compared to most, this one checked all my boxes (except the sand beige interior. I really wanted sand beige interior LOL).

So, after talking it over with the wife, I pulled the trigger. I am SO happy to be back in a Fox Body. Sitting in that car takes me right back to when I was 24 LOL.

Anyway, looking forward to hanging out around here, getting to know you guys and looking at your Fox Bodies and collections.

Here's a picture of my 89GT after ownership of a few years. As you can tell heavily modified LOL.

Welcome to the group neighbor, I live in Alamogordo so I will keep an eye out for you, your blue lift back looks fantastic, and it looks like it has had the A/C converted to R134 which is a bonus. I bought my first Fox around 1998 (an 87 GT convertible, white with red accents and interior) and it quickly became one of my favorite Mustangs (except for getting through CA. smog tests) I sold it to my son when I bought my first and only brand-new Mustang in 2001. A little over a year ago I placed a low bid on a 90 7up convertible and unintentionally won it as I thought it was a 10-k car. Unfortunately, the owner was less than truthful, and it has become a bit of a money pit, but it has an automatic and with my back issues is easy for me to drive and I am restoring it.

Thank you for the welcome Ponyprez! Sorry to hear about your 7-up issues. It sucks when people are not honest and you end up paying a higher price for something in the end. Hopefully you get everything worked out.

Yes. I'm very happy with my 89LX and I'm very glad the guy who had it before me lived in Phoenix and needed the A/C. Works out for me here in El Paso LOL.

I normally modify my Mustangs, but this one is in such great shape and practically all original, I think I'll keep it this way and just enjoy it.

Thank you again and I look forward to being a member here and learning new things about this great Fox Body platform....
