84 Mustang 302 carb setup, the issue Im having is with the MSD box, when I received the car the gentleman used a spaded connector and plugged the red Ignition wire from the box to some round connector on the drivers side which worked but easily would fall out so I hooked it up to an aftermarket fusebox that is run from the Ignition side, everything I hooked up to it works but the box, as soon as I hook it up there is no spark, not enough power to the fuse box?

There are some basic wiring diagrams floating around the web that show how to wire the msd boxes. They're all pretty simple. Having said that, unless you need specific features from the msd, I would suggest going with a Duraspark or HEI. Both are still available at local parts stores and/or cheap enough to keep an extra on hand.

I recently went through a few msd and Pertronix boxes that were bad. I swapped to a Duraspark box and distributor and haven't had an issue since. I have a spare Duraspark box and distributor on the shelf, just in case.
